communion

Last night I witnessed two married couples serve each other communion. Can you imagine any more powerful words to be shared from a husband to wife or vice-versa? "the body of Christ is broken for you. The blood of Christ is shed for you."

I was reminded of the total servant nature of marriage. Marriage is a ministry. You minister to your spouse. How can you reach them? How can you help them find life-fulfillment? What can you do to bless them?

Christian marriage is all about servant-hood. We should be offering up ourselves in loving care to them every day. Again, it is in loving that we find love. It is in giving that we receive, it is in dying that we are born again to eternal life.

If you are married, bless your spouse this day.
