One of my favorite stories is Jesus' story of the Good Samaritan. It must have infuriated the Pharisees that the hero of the story was a Samaritan, someone that they considered inferior. Jesus had a way of messing with the minds of those religious folks who thought that they had it all together.
Anyway, in the story, the Priest and the Levite see the broken man and pass by. They must have asked themselves the question, "if I stop to help, what might happen to me?" The Samaritan surely asked the question, "if I don't stop, what will happen to him?"
If you read the Bible looking for judgment, you can find that. If you read the Bible looking for grace you can find that too. If you read looking for an excuse to live an easy life, it is there. If you read looking to be challenged to live outside of yourself, then you can find that too.
The questions that you ask in life will say everything about the answers that you come up with.
It's a beautiful day in God's world, be sure to see the good.
