Jesus was not a Christian

Jesus was not a Methodist.  He was not a Baptist or a Presbyterian.  The Jesus that lived on the earth for 33 years was Jewish.  He lived and died, prior to the organization of the Christian faith.

When we think of the Jesus that is God, and the Jesus that has been from eternity, that Jesus predates Judaism.  That Jesus predates human existence.

So how can we pigeonhole him into our denominational views about him?  He is bigger than all of that.  We would do much better to just step back from our dogma and stand in awe.
