Thomas Merton wrote, "Love, in fact, is the spiritual life, and without it all the other exercises of the spirit, however lofty, are emptied of content and become mere illusions. The more lofty they are, the more dangerous the illusion."
Most of us search for where it is or when or if it (a filling of the spirit) will happen….I believe it will happen not through prayer, not through study (although both good) but through Love.
So back again to yesterday’s post. “Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.”...and, ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’ There is no commandment greater than these.”
