In response to a post last week, a friend sent me this note....
On a trip to Africa several years ago we saw a
re-sale shop whose name translated to "white man is dead" because in
their society only white folks have clothes that are good enough for re-sale.
The native people literally wear their clothes until they become rags.
I think I was in high school the first time I heard the phrase "live simply so that others may simply live."  Back then, I thought it was a bunch of tree hugging mush.  In my later years, I have come to love trees and I think about less stuff all the time.  Everything that we own, owns a piece of us.  Less is more.
It's a beautiful day in God's world, be sure to see the good.
