We are our story.
Sometimes we carry our story so tightly to our chest that we suffocate ourselves. We turn ourselves into the boy that was abused and we keep that as our life narrative forever.
Yes, it’s good to acknowledge the difficult things that happen to us. But it’s also acceptable to realize that our stories can change. And we’re not that thing that we used to be.
Think about forgiving them. Think about releasing them. Think about charting the course of your own ship without all of that baggage rolling around in your head.
Rise above the brokenness of the past. Make a new chapter in the story.
It's a beautiful day in God's world, be sure to see the good.
