a beautiful moment

The air is cool and calm. I’m walking down the sidewalk back to the hotel because I forgot something in the room. I’m walking under a silver maple tree. The sun has just come up. In a few minutes I’ll be driving to the job.

The maple leaves were beautiful.  The sky was bright with the dawn.  

Walking down that sidewalk, I was struck with a thought... "I’m so happy to be alive!"

You know friends, it is the simple moments in life- if we pay attention to them, they can bring us a lot of joy. Thank you God for the ability to see, to walk and to work.
