How many times did Jesus say, "believe in me?"
And how many times did Jesus say, "follow me?"
When he was recruiting disciples, did he ask them to believe in him or to follow him?
If we only choose to believe, then we fall into what the church tells us about who he is. We choose our beliefs and we are saved. Because they told us what to believe.
But if we choose to follow, we step outside of what the church taught us. We simply look at where Jesus went and what he did.
Believing can be contrived. Following is simply about watching what he did and emulating that.
It is much easier to believe than it is to follow. That is why Jesus is still looking for those who would follow.
Where did he go. What did he do? Do you wish to follow?
