Friends,
It is easy to preach during Advent- it's all about Jesus' birth. It is easy to preach during lent- it's usually about the suffering of Christ. It is easy to preach during November- thanksgiving.
The summer can be tough. Long periods of time with no, or few special days. These are good times for sermon series.
I have a few ideas, but nothing is standing up and screaming "I am the one!" If you have any requests for sermon themes or ideas for sermon series, I would love to hear from you.
It's a beautiful day in God's world, be sure to see the good.

The discussion Monday night may reveal what is on the minds of some who are searching.
Not everything is directed - but everything has purpose.
One of the things we have been discussing in our small group is the relationship between God's plan for me and free will. We've also been discussing the power of prayer - can prayer actually change God's plan? We're doing a lot of discussing, but not feeling like we truly understand. We'd love to hear your comments on this topic if you think others might also be interested.
Thanks.
Brother as I look at the page of posts on your Blog , right there is "Humility" What a great sermon topic. It covers a lot of ground.
Folks often confuse humility with weakness. I think you could clear that up....:-) if you wanted a series you could do the 7.
Pride/Lust/Greed/Anger/Glutteny/
Envy/Sloth. If you go to the dictionary and just read the definitions you can see they'd make really good sermon topics. I lived a long time thinking those did not apply to me. Just thoughts
thank you for the blog I look forward to it each day.
I recently read a book by a Catholic layperson. "The Jesus Priorities" Picked it up a Cokesbury. Might have the makings of a series, but not sure about using it in ordinary time, might be better for Lent.
I would like to hear more about your thoughts on what you read about an "unchurch". How we can reach out and capture more youth or people who have been bouncing form church to church and cant find a place to land. It might be interesting to focus your sermon so it is delivered just to the visitors. "If you are joining us for the first time, this is what we are all about. This sermon is just for you."
I am also always interested to hear how any current event can be directly related to scripture.
For the most part, I like to hear anything you are passionate about.
When you preach it is an honest genuine message. I really respect and admire what you do. Thanks.

I have been wondering about this. Perhaps you could make a series on it.
How does Christianity differ from other religions - What makes a Christian different from Jews, Muslums, Budists, etc. Anybody can say they are a Christian (or a Boy Scout, a Teacher, a Fireman), but what must a person know in order to really be what they say they are?
i left my suggestion in the wrong place...it ended up under the what do you pray for.
My suggestions were about prayer and the Holy Spirit.
THanks!
