My post of Thursday last week was reposted on Facebook by six people. The comments that they received included some very nice comments and some very angry ones.
So someone jumps on facebook and leaves a 30 second rant about something that they don't agree with. The only person that Jesus ranted against was the Pharisees. The Pharisees were those who judged others instead of loving them. My comments were not a slippery slope. Jesus was much more grace filled than many of his followers today. He would be quite surprised that many of his followers today are pointing so many fingers...........
It's a beautiful day in God's world, be sure to see the good.

That's bizzare Jeff. If Christians and their leaders don't focus on loving others and loving God as the message they preach and live out, who is going to? It won't be the media or the world at large.
No worries. Your post last Thursday was right and right on. Sometimes the whole Facebook world just gets to be too much. Put the darned I-phone down and relate to real human beings with real face to face encounters. Grrrrr.
Jeff, since the mention of Facebook is in this post, there's something I would like to share with your readers about the Facebook/I-Phone phenomenon. We were recently in a huge public gathering with multi-story attendance at an event. During the intermission we looked to the level below, and in the darkness of the auditorium, there appeared a whole sea of lit up I-phones.
It seems like people are so addicted to being on their I-phones, no matter where they are, who they are with, or the occasion at hand, that they cannot bring themselves to put them away and not be checking them continually. A true addictive behavior.
The other reference I wanted to make regards Facebook, Twitter, or other social media. I believe the Bible as a whole teaches us that every part of our life is a gift from God. As such I think He teaches us to be good stewards of our time, the bodies he gave us, the means of living we have, the jobs he gives us and every part of our being. We all have 24 hours every day when we wake up. Facebook seems like such a waste of the precious hours he gives us every day. Much of what comes and goes on Facebook isn't really a necessity to be shared. It seems like Facebook has turned our world into one of "everyone's business is everyone's business." How sad.
