I often wonder what it would be like to be fully invested in
life. To live freely. What would I being
doing differently. What thoughts would guide my days? It seems the older I get
the more I think about this and the more I realize it is what I need.
Richard Rohr writes, “We
become free as we let go of our three primary energy centers: our need for
power and control, our need for safety and security, and our need for affection
and esteem. “
That’s a tall order but I couldn’t agree more.
