I'm mad at my oldest daughter Alli. At least I was the other night, for a few minutes.
So here is the story-
I met some of my buddies at Brew Top last week. Tiff and Jay's it is called now. We selected a table and took our places. I looked over at the next table and there she was- my daughter Alli!
Now this is a huge surprise because she lives in Florida. My brain is on full blast now - she came to town without telling me? Did she not want to see me?
Wait- is that her? I am within 10 feet. That is her. No it's not. Yes it is. YES, that is my kid!! I am going to punch her in the head.
Then I heard the girl talk, and that was not Alli's voice. Ahh, my daughter is off the hook. She is no longer in trouble. But wow, did that girl look like her. A true double.
There is a moral to this story... sometimes in life we think we know what is going on. We get all worked up about what is going on, and in fact, we are wrong. We don't know what is going on. We have totally misread the situation.
Good thing I did not go over and hug and kiss that girl. Beware of those who insist they are always right because we are not as smart as we think we are.
It's a beautiful day in God's world, be sure to see the good.

This one hit me in the head. Thank you. So many times we jump to conclusions that are wrong in life. Sometimes it's better to sit back and let the Lord speak before we act. It's a lesson I am learning everyday.
