I shouldn't have done it
So last week when I was driving to KC, I stopped for the night in Clarksville, Tn. 820 miles in one day is about all I have in me.
Just up from the motel are my dinnertime choices. Burger King or Shoneys. I know that Burger King has nothing healthy, so I give Shoneys the benefit of the doubt. That was a mistake.
I get in there and sit down and tonight is my lucky night. It is the seafood buffet night. Now that I live in Florida, I am getting into seafood!!!
$11.95 for the buffet, I check it out. Ok. lets do the buffet.
Well some things look better than they really are. Let's see. We have fried shrimp, fried catfish which is mostly bones, fake crab something, hush puppies, boiled shrimp... tiny not peeled boiled shrimp.
When I was done eating all of that I had one thought: I shouldn't have done it. My belly hurts. I need some Rolaids.
Next time I am just going to go to Burger King.
It's a beautiful day in God's world, skip the seafood buffet at Shoney's and see the good.

How well I remember the old Shoney's on Wornall Rd., not far from Romanelli Grill. If you don't mind my intruding your blog, we have a long-time repeated funny family story about Shoney's on Wornall. We used to take a friend there, or to Romanelli's every Friday night for dinner.
One night one of our family members noticed that Shoney's now had a container of ice cream on the buffet, so a mouth watering sundae, with those strawberries Shoney's kept containers of, sounded delicious' The family member scooped up a big mound of ice cream, smothered it in strawberries, sat down to eat it, and discovered in the first bite that it was a mound of butter, not ice cream. Yuk. Like you say, Shoney's never skimped on the fat.
Go BK salads.
