Every year at annual conference we close churches. Someone once had a dream. A church was planted. It made a difference in the community. Then for what ever reason, it entered into decline. Finally the church is closed and re-purposed as a community center, or worse, the church is allowed to decay.
I drive down the highway and see old farms that are falling apart. A once beautiful home, barns for
hay, sheds for pigs and tall silos. Now abandoned and falling down.
Although it is sad to see dreams come to an end, we can never stop dreaming. Dreams make life beautiful. They make us feel truly alive.
Life without dreams is pretty dry.
It is better to have loved and lost then to never have loved at all.
It is better to have dreamed and lived to see the end of your dreams then to never have dreamed at all.
Dream. Dream big. Work to fulfill your dreams. Live.
It's a beautiful day in God's world be sure to see the good.
