The non-anxious presence. This describes someone who:
- is calm in the face of trouble
- doesn't do anything to add to the current craziness
- speaks peace to nervous and upset people
A non-anxious presence is:
- welcome in almost any situation
- may have an opinion, but does not need to express it.
- can bring needed change to the culture
- a very very valuable part of the team
To me, one of the great things about being a non-anxious presence is that anyone can do it. You can do it. I can do it. Even if you were crazy about a thing the other day, you can, I can choose to act and respond differently.
We can choose to bring healing and wholeness to the organization.
It's a beautiful day in God's world, be sure to see the good.
