Change

Richard Rohr's post from yesterday was about change and it got me to thinking.

We are, you are, and I am, going to face some changes in 2024.  The only way to not experience change is to die.  And, we don't want that for sure.

So as long as we are living, we are going to dance with change.  Some people get worked up over change.  There is a lot of harping in our town of Vero Beach about the amount of new comers moving in.  When I hear such complaining I ask the complainer if they are a native.  The answer is always "no."  So, they were ok with Vero making room for them, but they don't want anyone else to move here.

Silly.

Most of what we get worked up about is silly.  The Kansas City Chiefs are not playing very well right now.  Well, what did we expect?  They were on top of the world.  Superbowl Champs.  There was only one way to go.

We humans need to exert more effort to get over ourselves.  Change is not just coming, change is here to stay.  

Find a way to embrace it, make peace with it.

It's a beautiful day in God's world, be sure to see the good.
