I have said it before and I will say it again, we humans prefer certainty over ambiguity. That is why high demand, fundamental churches are growing. People prefer to be told what to do and think. We humans prefer certainty.
However, ambiguity is something that comes with all true spirituality and introspection. It is the awareness that we do not have all of the answers. It is an admitting that possibly no one has the answers.
I love ambiguity, but I also find that it is sometimes difficult to live with. We wish that there were answers, but sometimes, there just aren't. And we work hard on being ok with that.
If you are struggling with some of life's questions, I would say this to you... take a deep breath and relax. You are not along. Everything is ok. Even though we don't have the information or the answers that we want, God is still with us.
That is why we talk about the "peace that passes understanding." Philippians 4:7
It's a beautiful day in God's world, be sure to see the good.
