Tip

I was out to breakfast with a friend. They’ve been awfully good to me so I picked up the check.  The person I was out to breakfast with asked if they could leave the tip.  I said sure.  When people say that they want to leave the tip, I always leave a tip myself anyway.  So the breakfast for the two of us came out to $25.   I left a five dollar tip.  When the server came to the table, my friend handed her $100.

It brought the server to tears. It brought me to tears.

I’ve talked in the past on this blog about getting a group of people together and going out and leaving a big tip for some fortunate server.  And I just haven’t been able to make it happen.

But I would love to hear your stories.  If you’re out sometime and you’re leaving an extra extraordinarily large tip, just how the person did and what was the response to your generosity.

Generosity is a beautiful thing, indeed!!!
