I am routinely asked by members and friends, "who gets to go to heaven?"
I have landed on the answer, "I am not in charge of who gets in, God is."
There are plenty of preachers who want to play God and decide who is in. So sad.
Romans 1:20 reminds me that God's ways are higher than mine.
20 For since the creation of the world God’s invisible qualities—his eternal power and divine nature—have been clearly seen, being understood from what has been made, so that people are without excuse.
Hmm, so this does not fit the theology that I was raised on, but somehow, anyone who looks at the world that God has made, is going to see God's amazingness. The heavens declare the glory of God. Somehow, every person who is alive in this world is accountable, they are without excuse. They have seen enough of God that they are either in or out, and God decides that, not me.
Who am I to say? God has set himself at work in the world. Lets trust him instead of trying to control him.
It's a beautiful day in God's world, be sure to see the good.
