easy and hard

Some things are easy.  Some things are hard. 

I like baseball.  Easy.
I like cars.  Easy.
Cars break down.  Hard.

Wanting to love people.  Easy.
Actually loving some people.  Hard.

Talking about being kind.  Easy.
Actually being kind.  Hard.

Making bills.  Easy.
Paying bills.  Harder.

Praying for other nations.  Easy.
Immigration issues.  Hard.

The people that I usually deal with.  Easy.
The people the FBI deals with.  Hard.

We need to learn to accept that there is ambiguity in this world.  No politician, in spite of their promises, is going to solve every problem.  Some things in this life we will like, and some things we won't.  Nothing is perfect.  Nothing on this earth is ever going to be perfect until we understand that imperfect is wonderful.  Beauty has many facets.  Good is good. 

God, grant us the serenity to accept the things that we cannot change,

The courage to change the things we can,

And the wisdom to know the difference.

It's a beautiful day in God's world, be sure to see the good.  See it, right through difficult things.  See the good.
