changes and switches

From my friend Donna,

I heard a difficult story the other day. It was so relatable to the painful twists and turns in our own lives, and it got me to thinking. A Railroad Switchman sometimes needs to keep the train headed safely and continuously on track by flipping a switch. The “switch flipping” in our lives is what feels so traumatic. But the reality is, as long as we’re still on Track (even if we’re not sure of our destination), we’re still moving forward toward the Designated Goal. I’m not even going to suggest that knowing this should make a traumatic switch feel good. But perhaps knowing this (and knowing the Switchman) can eventually help calm the storm. Just a thought.....

My thought...
We think that change is an interruption to the stability of our lives, when in fact our lives are just one set of changes after another.

It's a beautiful day in God's world be sure to see the good.
