Covering another's sin

Recently someone that I am very close to made a big mistake. They were embarrassed. They asked me for help. Of course I helped them.

They could not stop apologizing. I told them to relax. You are not the first person to face this issue. You will get to the other side.

Blessed are those
whose transgressions are forgiven,
whose sins are covered. Romans 4:7

It is a powerful thing to release someone from their sin, from their worries. It is a powerful thing to tell them that it is ok, that they are ok. Instead of judging others, we should help them. We should offer them the same grace that we would hope for in a similar situation.

But for the grace of God go I.
