making a thing happen

We can't fix everything, and we can't make everything happen, but we can do a lot.  Nothing is ever accomplished by those who give up.  When the going gets tough, the tough get going.  Over the years I saw the hard work of many church staff and members pay off.  It is amazing what a positive attitude can bring to life's obstacles.

These days, I hear a number of voices that want to blame someone else.  They did not get a fair shake.  It is the government's fault.  The odds are stacked against me.

As long as a person persists in negative, defeatist thinking, the outcome is predictable.
