So I was looking through some old memorabilia and I found this paper from my school work. March 1, 1966. South City View Elementary, 10500 Holmes Rd, Kansas City, MO.
I was 8 years old.
Now if you ever wonder why I struggle with some things, maybe this would help. This is the world that I was raised in. Not just that it was ok for a teacher to write this on my paper, but that my mother would make the point to save it.
And so, pain and heartache comes to all of us. We must make choices along the journey whether we will allow the pain to keep us down, or if we will get up and make the world a better place.
It's a beautiful day in God's world, be sure to see the good.
