Yes the Chiefs had an embarrassing loss on Thursday night. Yes Kadarius Toney dropped a number of passes. He probably lost the game for us.
My friend Kim shared the following with me. It was posted on Facebook by a Stephan Morris... not sure if that is the same Stephan Morris that grew up in our church, but how many can there be in KC?
"Imagine if the worst day you ever had in your professional life was in front of millions of people worldwide. Imagine if that day happened at 24 years old when you were 2 years out of college. Imagine if seven months prior to that day you did something so incredible that you helped your organization become recognized as the best in the world- and everyone forgot about that and told you how terrible you are. Kadarius Toney had a terrible game on Thursday night, there’s no question, but in my eyes now is the time to rally behind him and lift him up. Without the longest punt return in Super Bowl history I don’t think the Chiefs hoist the Lombardi trophy last season. He will play better, the Chiefs will play better, and this game will be a “remember when” moment. I have faith in these guys. 16 regular season games left to make up for this loss". - Stephan Morris
