The Doxology

One of my favorite parts of worship is to stand and sing the doxology.

Praise God, from whom all blessings flow;
Praise Him, all creatures here below;
Praise Him above, ye heav'nly host;
Praise Father, Son, and Holy Ghost.
Amen.

Some years ago, I stumbled onto what I call the doxology for pastors.  If you are a pastor, I hope this gets stuck in your head as it got stuck into mine.

Praise God, from whom all blessings flow;
Praise Him, all preachers here below;
Praise Him above, ye heav'nly host;
Praise Father, Son, and Holy Ghost.
Amen.

This old preacher loves to sing the doxology.  I hope that there is at least one piece of something at church that you love, that you connect to, that makes it feel like home.  Next time you are at church, stand and sing and feel the joy of... "Praise God from whom all blessings flow..."

It's a beautiful day in God's world, be sure to see the good.
