So I was sitting in a hotel in Miami... I had to work the next day. I was thinking about where I would eat breakfast, lunch and dinner.
And then it occurred to me, I was reminded, that we are not promised tomorrow.
I may not be able to go on that next vacation. I may not make the trip for Annual Conference. I hope I do but we never know. We need to live each day with a bit of humility and an awareness that we are, at every moment, in the hands of a loving God.
James 4:13 Now listen, you who say, “Today or tomorrow we will go to this or that city, spend a year there, carry on business and make money.” 14 Why, you do not even know what will happen tomorrow. What is your life? You are a mist that appears for a little while and then vanishes. 15 Instead, you ought to say, “If it is the Lord’s will, we will live and do this or that.”
It's a beautiful day in God's world, be sure to see the good.
