She wrote: The post from a few weeks ago about gratitude struck me with such meaning I have to share with you. You posted this during Hanukkah, the Festival of Lights, where Jews celebrate, with gratitude, the oil lasting 8 days that should have only lasted 1 day while fighting the Hellenizers.
It reminded me of a song of gratitude that's sung during the Passover Seder called, Dayenu, which means it would have been enough.
It would have been enough that God brought them out of Egypt. Dayenu! It would have been enough that God divided the Red Sea so it could be crossed. Dayenu! It would have been enough had he only given them manna. Dayenu!
On the song goes with God leading them into the promised land. Dayenu! I love this song because it reminds me how gracious God is, for what he has done for us and that his love is enough. Dayenu!
