Male or Female or ?

I grew up in a culture where all pronouns relating to God were male.  He, Him, Father.  To this day, I am still comfortable with that.

But do we believe that God is really a male?  Come on...

A politician got in trouble recently for referring to God as non-binary.

Non-binary means "denoting, having, or relating to a gender identity that does not conform to traditional binary beliefs about gender, which indicate that all individuals are exclusively either male or female:"

We can get very uncomfortable with language about God. I want to suggest to you that God is not male or female or non-binary.  God is beyond our description.  God is bigger than our ideas.

Instead of trying to control God with our ideas, lets consider him as bigger than our thoughts and just enjoy the beauty of the big giant mystery that God is.

Isaiah 55:8-9 “For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, As the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways and my thoughts than your thoughts.” declares the LORD."

Fall into the mystery.
