Chinese Food

I love Chinese food.  And it makes me happy that it is so good, so healthy for you.  Actually I only eat one dish on the menu.  This is my order, every time - General Tsao's chicken, fried rice, no soup, crab rangoon.  The people at the Panda Cafe know me by name.

I once asked one of the servers how to pronounce "General Tsao's chicken."  They laughed and said that I should just call it "General's chicken."

There are a number of my favorite fortunes taped to my office door.  Here they are.  May you enjoy them as much as I do.

  • Practice an attitude of gratitude.
  • A great teacher never strives to explain his vision. He simply invites you to stand beside him and see for yourself.
  • Follow your instincts when making decisions.
  • You will finally solve a difficult problem that means much to you.
  • People in your surroundings will be more cooperative than usual.
  • Great things happen when men and mountains meet.
  •  It is a nice day.
  • You will have a close encounter of a surprising thing.
  • A friend is someone who knows the song of your heart and can sing it back to you when you have forgotten the words.
  • Good timber does not grow with ease; the stronger the wind, the stronger the trees.
  • Gratitude is not only the greatest of virtues, but the parent of all others.

It's a beautiful day in God's world, be sure to see the good.

Thanks for sharing. The last three are my favorites. The one about a friend knowing your heart is so profound. May we all get to listen more, and speak less, so we can truly tune in to the hearts of other human beings. No amount of money on this earth can buy the treasure of friends whose hearts are connected. It's such a great ministry for God, to take the time to tune in and to playback, when a friend is down.

Cool. I'd like to see how small the print would have been on #2. But then, I've seen the Lord's prayer written on a grain of rice.

My favorite fortune, hung on my refridgerator, says this: "Others not need lose for you to win." Isn't that great?!? Another one, posted near my desk at work, says this: "Our perception and attitude toward any situation will determine the outcome." Two great nuggets of wisdom. (And I always opt for the crab rangoon as well.) :-)
