I am running for President

I am running for President of the United States.  My platform has one plank - "the debt clock must stop."  If I am elected, I will balance the budget and the debt clock will stop.

Ask me how I will do this?  I don't know.  There are 500 ways, and ultimately the argument over how it will be done will be rendered quite foolish if it is not done, somehow and soon.

If the debt clock does not stop it will not matter your opinion on abortion, stem cells or the death penalty.  It won't matter if you are a republican or a democrat.  If the debt clock doesn't stop, we are going to be Greece, or worse.

A couple of interesting Quotes-

Democracy is a form of government that cannot long survive, for as soon as the people learn that they have a voice in the fiscal policies of the government, they will move to vote for themselves all the money in the treasury, and bankrupt the nation."    Karl Marx

"A democracy cannot exist as a permanent form of government. It can only exist until the majority discovers it can vote itself largess out of the public treasury. After that, the majority always votes for the candidate promising the most benefits with the result the democracy collapses because of the loose fiscal policy ensuing, always to be followed by a dictatorship, then a monarchy."
       Alexander Frasier Tytler

Write in my name on the ballot and I will balance the budget.

It's still a beautiful day in God's world, be sure to see the good.

With so many people looking for a candidate they would want to vote for, from either party, you just may get elected. We'll miss you for sure, at WCC, but you'd be doing this for us, right?

I was wondering yesterday, how the world economy would be turned upside down, if everyone just wiped every country's books clean, printed new money, and started over. Greed and corruption being what it is, countries would probably get themselves right back in the same situation, over time.

Okay Jeff, we've been promised this before, every time elections roll around. If you will really, really, really, balance the budget, you've got my vote.
