stress

Ugh.  I was stressed out.  Problems.  Challenges.  Stress.

Everyone has days like that.  What do you do?  First, I try not to hurt the people around me.  It is easy when you are stressed or unhappy to barf on whomever is around you.  I try not to do that.  Make your points as carefully and caringly as you can, and walk away to cool down.

Next.  Walk around.  Get some exercise.  Work out the stress.  Do some push ups.  What ever you can.  Physical activity reduces stress.

Next- pray.  Pray for every person involved.  Especially for those who you think are providing you stress.  Remember, you may be providing them stress as well.

Finally, stay with it.  Feelings don't last.  Whatever it is, it is not forever.  Try to rest in God and see the good.

If stress remains, repeat steps above.

It's a beautiful day in God's world, be sure to see the good.

Great suggestions. It would be nice to be able to figure out why Americans are more stressed than people in many other cultures. Is it because we have so much materially, that our expectations of ourselves and others is set way too high? Do we have the false notion that no one should ever seriously disagree with us? Are we spoiled and edgy when everthing isn't perfect? Who knows? But I'm going to try not to let myself get stressed over finding the answer?
