I think one of our biggest sins in this world is that we get used to amazing things.
You live in the redwoods and for a year you say "wow" but then after a time you don't see them anymore.
You live near the beach and after a while you stop going.
You get used to the beauty of a sunset and lose the sense of awe.
I never get tired of these guys... Sand hill cranes. The smaller one on the right is their baby. Usually you just see the two of them. They are very territorial. If you approach them, they will square off with you. I love to have them in the yard because they will pull a mole out of his tunnel and eat him on the spot!
