When something goes right and you take credit for the good, you make it about you. When instead, you give others credit you lift them up and fill their souls.
When something goes wrong, take responsibility. Never cast blame to others. Bear upon your own shoulders as much of the loss as you can. Blaming others hurts them... sometimes beyond repair. Taking responsibility frees others and gives them a chance to love you.
When things are up, point to others.
Why was the worship service good? Great music, great hospitality.
When things are down, point to self.
Why was that worship service flat? Well, it was probably not one of my best sermons.
In this life we have the change to love people and heal them. We can push them away or we can endear ourselves to them.
Give credit. Take responsibility.
It's a beautiful day in God's world be sure to see the good.
