Debate Mom

I have a friend who is the debate mom.  She was given this title by the debate team because she is always there for them and always caring.  She drives them places, motivates them, feeds them and supports them.  She listens to them.  She listens to them.  She listens to them.  She has become that significant other that every young person needs.  They honored her commitment with a title.  Debate Mom.

I find this to be a very Holy thing.   Is there anything more holy than young people deciding that they love you?  To gain someone's trust is a beautiful thing.  To care for the vulnerable is a lovely thing.

We can live out our Christianity in so many ways.  Just to see people and to love them is why we are here.

Way to go Debate Mom!!!
