The last few years that I was active in full time ministry, I got to hearing about the phrase, "the non-anxious presence."
The non-anxious presence is the person that keeps their cool when others are freaking out. It is the person who is nice when others are not. It is the person that smiles in the face of a frown. When others are nervous, they are calm. Circumstances do not overtake the non-anxious person because they are tied to a greater good: the reminder that all people matter and deserve to be loved.
Such people are very welcome in any and all situations. As we live out the holiday season, may we all find the strength and peace to be the non-anxious presence.
Everything is ok.
It's a beautiful day in God's world, be sure to see the good.- - - - - - - - - -
