The phone booth

Please bring back the phone booth.

Do you remember the phone booth?  It was a place for a private conversation.  And if there were a bank of phones, at least you knew that you would be on a call and others near you would be as well.

There were designated places for our jibber jabbing.  The rest of the world was quiet and off limits to phone calls.  Shy reclusive people like peace and quiet.

So here is my rant... the airplane is not your phone booth.  The grocery store is not your phone booth.  The check out line is not your phone booth.  Do your business and talk to whomever it is later.  Speaker phone?  No way... talk to them later.

I have had employees on jobs who knew that they were not supposed to be on the phone during work hours, but they just could not help themselves.

Please can we bring back the phone booths or at least learn some manners regarding cell phones?
