| Do the Bears not know that they are in last place? |
We need more Barry Sanders in this world. The retired running back for the Detroit Lions is featured in a documentary called "Bye Bye Barry" on Amazon Prime Video. It is well worth the watch.
One of the things that I learned about Barry is that when he scored a touchdown, he did not dance or create some theatre of celebration, he simply handed the ball to the referee.
This is what should happen in football. Stop the dancing. Stop the ridiculous celebrations. Every week I see some team that is down by 21 points score a touchdown and then they dance and celebrate as if they just won the Super Bowl. Do they not know that they are still down by 14 points?
One of the quotes from the documentary was this, "when you score, act like you have done it 100 times." After all, this is what you get paid for.
This world needs a bit more humility and a lot less showboating. Just play the game. In this life, do your job and work hard. There is no reason to call attention to yourself. Let success be judged by the results.
