I have been watching and enjoying The Landman on Paramount +.
At one point in the show, Billy Bob Thornton offers this prayer over dinner. "Dear Lord, I pray that you grant us patience. And thats, thats about it. Amen."
I loved it. Sometimes our faith and our prayers get too complicated. What if we found one thing to focus on and just prayed for that.
For example...
Lord help me to be kind.
Lord help me to be less selfish.
Lord help me to see people and value them.
Lord please help me to focus, not on the difficulty in my life, but on the good.
And thats, thats about it. Amen.
It's a beautiful day in God's world, be sure to see the good.
