From time to time I have to write about prayer.
When I was young, I was taught that if you pray, God must give it to you. That is wrong.
When I was young, I was taught that if you got enough people to pray for you and with you, God is mandated to answer your prayer. That is wrong.
God is not a cosmic vending machine.
God is not a celestial Santa Clause.
Prayer is not about me getting what I want from God. Prayer is about me aligning my life with the Father. Prayer changes things... yes... but the thing that prayer changes is me.
We need to completely change our paradigm. It is not about me getting what I want, it is about me being in relationship with God.
It's a beautiful day in God's world, be sure to see the good.
