Love your enemies isn't easy

In response to Saturday's post on loving your enemies, I received a couple of comments.

One friend wrote that I should have ended with Happy Valentines Day!!!  So, I missed that.  Hope you all had a great day...

Another friend wrote in to explain that there are people in our lives that they find, we find, very difficult to love.  There are some that we struggle to love.

If you have such people in your life, lets find a place to at least begin.  Loving them does not mean that you have to go to dinner with them.  But can we begin with these thoughts?

1.  I agree that I don't want to hurt them.  I don't want them to be tortured.

2.  I will endeavor to stop saying bad things about them...

Sometimes all the love that we can give to a person, is put them in the neutral zone.  Maybe I can't find enough grace to celebrate them, maybe all I can do is take them out of the despised category and put them in the neutral zone.

That would be a good first step I think.

It's a beautiful day in God's world, be sure to see the good.
