Vegas

There is an old saying.  Well, I am not sure how old it is, but we have all heard it- "whatever happens in Vegas, stays in Vegas."  It tells us that there are some places in life, some times in life that you can do whatever you want and no one knows and no one cares.  The idea has such an allure that the slogan has been picked up by other places than Vegas.  What ever happens here, stays here.

Well, as far as humans go, the slogan may be true, but there is no place that we can go that our Father does not know what we are up to.  No one may tell, but we will know and we will remember, and we will have to live with ourselves and sleep at night.  So it is always important to remember that who we are and what we do matters, even when, maybe especially when, no one else is looking.

It's a beautiful day in God's world, be sure to see the good.

What a great post. And with the oversight comes a protection plan, full of grace, love, and watchcare, from someone who knows more about us than we know about ourselves.

Go for it. This will preach.

What a great contrast you make, about life. To be sure, Vegas has no vested interest in your overall well being. Their gig is to let you feed their game, and then wave at you when you fly away.

To Vegas, we all look alike, as long as we bring the almighty dollar their way. To the Almighty, we are each unique and special to Him. He truly cares enough to follow us around. He doesn't worry about the dollars thing because it all belongs to him.

You can do what you want in Vegas, and in fact maybe take home enough bucks to hook you on coming back to their town. But with God you can't take money home when you leave. You just leave His money here on earth for others to use.
