grace and technology

Sometimes I look at technology and think how much it has taken away from our lives. Other times I see what a great gift it can be.  Like yesterday… I have been following a Christian writer I like on tumbler. Daily I am able to read and think about things that I would not have had as easy of access to years ago. Here is a quote from one of his favorite authors I found on the site.

The grace of God means something like: Here is your life.  You might never have been, but you are because the party wouldn’t have been complete without you.  Here is the world.  Beautiful and terrible things will happen.  Don’t be afraid.  I am with you.  Nothing can ever separate us.  It’s for you I created the universe.  I love you.  There’s only one catch.  Like any other gift, the gift of grace can be yours only if you reach out and take it.  Maybe being able to reach and take it is a gift too. (from the book Wishful Thinking)- Frederick Buechner

So yesterday one gift brought me another.

Peace,
