Sayings.  Old Sayings.  I love them.  They are generally wise.  I heard a good one yesterday.  Here it is:  "you can't want more for someone than they want for themselves."

Well, I guess you could, but what is the point?

The saying means this- A person will only rise to the level of their own personal aspirations.

If you have higher aspirations for them than they do, you are wasting your time.   They have to want a thing themselves before it will ever come into being.

That helps me relax a bit.

It's a beautiful day in God's world, be sure to see the good.

But doesn't it just seem like all the rules of wisdom change, when those you want better for are those dearest to your heart.

What we're all wishing for Jeff today is a BIG, BETTER, AND BEST HAPPY BIRTHDAY.
