look who bought dinner

My entire life, my father bought dinner.  The older I got, the more annoying it was.  Finally, when I was 28 or so, we were out for a meal and I insisted on buying.  I was just going to do it.  I could afford it.  It was about time.  He fought it, but I won.  It was a great moment for me.  I felt so happy to buy for my dad, as he had done so many times for me.

Well, last night, one of my kids bought dinner.  They insisted.  They could do it, and they wanted to pay.  How amazing!  I am filled with joy.  It is a massive milestone when you get on the table and buy dinner for your old man.

I am proud of my kid.

It's a beautiful day in God's world, be sure to see the good.
