Someone told me the other day that Christmas was boring. Lights. Trees. Shopping. Wise men. Shepherds. The stable. A baby. "It's the same old thing," they said.
Yes. It is the same things every year. But take a moment and think about what is behind the celebration. Behind the celebration is love. LOVE. God so loved the world. Think about that.
Don't we all wish for love? Don't we all hope for it? Don't we all pursue it?
Love is amazing. Love is wonderful. It is a gift. It is the greatest gift. Christmas is never droll when we remember that God is showing his love to us.
