First Sermon

Today is my first sermon in a new church.  It is my first sermon at Cape Coral 1st UMC.  I have not started a new job for a very long time.  I am nervous.  I am sick to my stomach.  It's been a long time since I was the new preacher.  I have delivered this sermon in my head more times than any sermon in years.

Please pray for me.
I so want this to go well- all of it....
Please pray for me.

It's a beautiful day in God's world, be sure to see the good.

Jeff, you are such a man of excellence and doing things right. You also have such a heart for speaking God's message for that day, to the people. You will get this right, and we are all definitely praying for you.

You may not be a new preacher, but God's word is fresh and new every day that we awaken. I have no doubt that your message will be relevant to what your new congregation needs to hear.

God bless.
We love you. May peace like a river attend your way.

Lots of prayers for you this morning! You are probably right in the middle of your sermon now! Prayers that the Holy Spirit is empowering, encouraging and directing all that you do and say as you trust in him.

Jeff,,,Watched your service today on Livestream. The prayers you asked for were granted. You did a wonderful sermon and the whole service was very nice. The church sanctuary is very beautiful. See you there someday.
