Look at our prayers.
We want so many things. One prays
for nice weather for a picnic while the farmer in the same town prays for rain
to ease the drought.
When our wants get in the way, prayer can get really fuzzy. Prayer should be less about what
we want and more about spending time with God.
Do you want to hang around people that always want something
from you? No, our friends are folks that
we just enjoy being with. If they start
asking for money and favors all the time, I don’t think we will have them over
as often for dinner.
I wonder if God feels the same way sometimes?
Prayer should be more about spending time with our Father.
It’s a beautiful day in God’s world, be sure to see the
good.
