my opinion

My friend Brian Dunn shared a quote with me. Here it is:

“the world is waiting for your example more than for your opinion”.

In this politically charged time, I believe that this quote speaks volumes. But it is true any time. People are more interested in how you treat them than who you vote for. They would rather see a sign in your yard that says "I love you" than one that tells who you are voting for. We don't have the right to dump our opinion on every topic on people. They will let us know when they want to hear from us.

People want to be loved in this life, not pummeled with our propaganda. Everyone has an opinion. Opinions are everywhere. Love is rare, a scarce commodity in this world. If the church had shared more love and less opinion, the churches might be thriving instead of declining.

Keep your opinion to yourself. The world is waiting for your loving example of a life of love.

It's a beautiful day in God's world, be sure to see the good.
