where do you go?

Where do you go? When there's no place left to turn to? Who do I talk to, when no one wants to listen? who do I lean on, when there's no foundation stable? I go to the Rock, I know he is able, I go to the Rock.

It's a beautiful day in God's world, be sure to see the good.

The deeper the love, the greater the pain. And what a beautiful song. I haven't heard "I Go To The Rock," for some time. But glad you're hearing it now.

God is good.

I go to the Rock of my Salvation
I go to the Stone that the builders rejected

When all you have is Jesus, you find Jesus is all you need!

When I need a shelter when I need a friend, I go to the Rock.

This is one of my very favorite songs we sing. I love the Gospel music--words right out of the Bible that I can sing any time I want to and be reminded of the strength, the power and the love we have through Jesus Christ.

This doesn't have anything to do with your blog post today but I wanted an anonymous way to communicate with you.... I wanted to thank you for your sermon on Sunday. I guess people tell you that all the time on their way out the door...they say it meant something to them...or whatever. But this is the sermon I've been waiting a really long time for. I don't know if I'm that "one" you mentioned, but I do know that I am one of the ones, hopefully there are others, that live each day with the burden of that hole in the gospel. It's a daily, constant, tortuous awareness that I have no idea what to do with. The bar is not set very high for a Christian living in Lees Summit, or whatever suburb. I think most just completely live in a feel good fog. For years now I have not known what to do with my passion for the hungry/lost/hurting. I still don't know, but now I am starting to hear rumblings of this awareness at wcc and it's a beautiful thing.
Just wanted to thank you for stirring it up. Please keep at it. There is nothing else more critical that needs our attention than taking the gospel to all ends of the earth, now, no matter what the cost.
